From July 1991 till January 1992, "Japan-UK Festival 1991" was held all over the Great Britain, and the "Visions Of Japan" was the main exhibition in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. The whole exhibition there was divided into three rooms and the 2nd room for the introduction of currrent Japan was named "Chaos". Originally, the sound collage of this disc was commissioned by Mr. Ishiyama, architect who designed the exhibition for this 2nd room. Our intention was to create the sonic landscapes or the sonic architecture. In the center of the actual exhibition "Chaos" there was "Shrine of Sound", which was the sort of space created by the sound only, and this collage was played backthrough the 8-channel multi-sound system. We mixed the original 8-channel source down to the 2-channel stereo and made it into this CD. You could listen to this work as the sound track for the imaginary movie named "Tokyo".
