Beijing 7 Star Morgan Plaza
|
|
As our project at the Beijing 7 Star Morgan Plaza is conbined with a vision of Pilgrimage Pavilion by Kazuyuki Kimoto, that will be making a cyber field which has scale without scale, time current without time.
|
|
I supposed to build up an image with some words, lines and colors to draw the "Spirit of Augen Pilgrimaging over a Wasteland" as well as Mr Kimoto is doing.
|
|
Mr. Kimoto's Pavilion Pilgrimage at the Great Wall to take it into an image he is opening up, and an architecture emerges out of spacial perspective.

Oninuma as a theater : One Sheet Project
|
|
13:57 - 14th April 2007, our client Mr. T decide the basing point for a Project. Oninuma is located at 37.4 degrees N lat., 37.4 degree aslope from equator. and He selected one of the 1.8km-width belt split by north latitude runs on there. It shows the first wish to make the artificial land on the landscape which the Earth has created.

Open Technology Manual 1
I'm thinking of a theory about Open Technology on this website, and doing with some practices in some places on the other hand. Such a Hiroshima House in Cambodia is one of them. Practice goes faster than theory.
But practice gives suggestions to think about theory as well, to be in use as manual for Open Technology. So we are producing a booklet "One Sheet Project in Oninuma" as a first trial for a series of How To Think along with Open Technology.

They were going up to a hill to measure the height of trees there, that becomes a key to build up windmills on the Energy Complex.

This architecture will be one place acting as an interface between Peace & Culture in the world.

The Farmer's House was constructed by primitive OPEN TECHNOLOGY. It's one of our basics of the whole works.
The shape of HIROSHIMA HOUSE and Farmer's House look very different, but deep inside the thinking they are the same.

|
the Osawa Onsen Tales
The works we had produced in Matsuzaki seems to belong to the field of "media". What the design means now is to construct a structure of media. Either in natural or in artificial, objects created with aesthetics of form are the surface of media. The story of Osawa Onsen Hotel and the concept of Matsuzaki Street Museum make a backbone of our design works. They looks like "Emakimono" picture scroll style.

ONE SHEET : Technology
|
A simple form, one sheet, is folded. In this sense it means the basic step of technology.
One sheet of tarp will be transformed into a simple watercollector for the Oninuma. In the first step there will be one collector to gather rainwater and the water of the little spring at the slope behind the Oninuma base camp. After its installation in winter we may see how efficient it will work and possibly add more sheets to the system. While collecting water of the natural circulation it is of importance to keep the local watercycle intact and to decrease the consumption of water.
The collected water will be used as service water and depending on the cleanness we can decide if a filtration to a drinkable quality is appropriate or not.

Mobile Hiroshima House
|
Hiroshima House in Phnom penh is stationary. I'm thinking this "Mobile Hiroshima House" project move around Mekong Area and Farming Area of Cambodia. The icon of Hiroshima House is feet of Buddha, which present "Kanze-Jizai" himself is walking directly.
the "Mobile Hiroshima House" , which can be hospital going on patrol, school and library.
This is the 2nd step project to support the activity of Hiroshima house which is about to be completed.
I'll get on it as a part of "One Sail project" . We got much help to build up this architecture. It will be far from over. I hope you to join this project, if you are interested in. I'll talk about "One Sail project" at some time.
